Hello, I'm Sam.
I am a freelance journalist, currently based in Brisbane. I write articles for online and print publications - specialising in home and holiday. I also create content for eNewsletters, social media and marketing campaigns.
I've been writing since 2010 and have worked for News Limited, Queensland Government, RACQ and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section). For more, see my Portfolio on request.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Creative Industries with a major in Media and Communications and sub-major in Journalism from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
I have a love for the outdoors so when I'm not writing I am planning my next road trip or camp.
What I do
I've always been a storyteller so working in media comes naturally to me. I started off my journalism journey writing for newspapers, gained some experience in PR, then fell head-over-heels in love with writing feature articles for magazines. Over the past decade I, like many other writers, have learnt to adapt my skills to embrace the digital demand. I enjoy liaising with multiple stakeholders, cherish a good interview, work well under pressure and I am self-motivated to generate new and creative ideas.
